Terms of Use
These terms set out the rules for using the AED Map mobile app and the aedmapa.pl website. The service provider is Mateusz Woźniak, contact: mateusz@aedmapa.pl.
Nature of the app
The app is for information purposes. It shows the locations of AED defibrillators recorded in OpenStreetMap. It does not replace a call to the emergency number (112 in Europe, 911 in the US) or the instructions of a medical dispatcher. In a life-threatening situation, help must be called first.
Defibrillator data
The data comes from OpenStreetMap and the OpenAEDMap project and is created by the community. The service provider does not guarantee that a listed defibrillator exists, is in working order or is accessible during the stated hours, or that its location is accurate. The route calculated in the app is approximate.
OpenStreetMap data is available under the Open Database License (ODbL), © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Adding and editing
Editing requires an OpenStreetMap account and is subject to the OpenStreetMap Contributor Terms. Changes should describe real, verified defibrillators. Changes are saved to OpenStreetMap under the username and are public.
Photos
Uploading a photo means making it available under the CC0 1.0 license. A photo should show a defibrillator or its surroundings and must not contain images of people, personal data or unlawful content. Photos that violate these rules may be removed, and any photo can be reported in the app.
Liability
The app is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, the service provider is not liable for damage resulting from inaccurate data or from interruptions in the operation of the app or of external services (OpenStreetMap, OpenAEDMap, routing).
Source code
The app's source code is public on GitHub.
Changes to the terms
A new version of these terms is published on this page with the date of the last update. Complaints and questions are accepted at mateusz@aedmapa.pl.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Polish law. This does not limit the consumer's rights under the mandatory provisions of the law of the country of residence.
